As Simple As Possible

With our industry-leading MES, TrakSYS, Parsec is on a mission to make the management of manufacturing operations as simple as possible.

The Keys to Optimization

At Parsec, we understand that complexity is inherent to manufacturing. We also understand the importance of providing our customers with solutions that don’t add to that complexity. Visibility, knowledge, and control—everything you need (and nothing you don’t) to take your operations from where they are to where you want them to be.

Visibility

From receipt of raw materials through production to finished goods warehousing and distribution—whether your operation is single or multi-site, TrakSYS gives you the enterprise-wide visibility you need to succeed.

Knowledge

Access contextualized insights into things like equipment, teams, workflows, and supply chain partners to drive smarter, data-informed decisions and fuel operational excellence.

Control

Experience A purpose-built platform that delivers the data and visibility you need to identify efficiency opportunities—and empowers you to take action.

TrakSYS: Purpose-Built from the Start

The 90’s

In 1993, the idea for TrakSYS—a solution designed to capture data from factory floor systems, sensors, controllers, drives, and more and transform it into actionable KPIs—was born. By 1994, the inaugural deployment took place at a global food manufacturer, resulting in a resounding success. Four years later, Parsec pioneered a browser-based interface—an industry first—eliminating the need for thick-client installations.

The 00’s

Over the next five years, two new, comprehensive versions of TrakSYS were released, incorporating shift management, task management, messaging and notifications, and a time-series historian for deeper analytics. TrakSYS expanded beyond the U.S., establishing a presence in Western Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. Solution delivery evolved from site-by-site deployment to enterprise-wide, global, multi-site contracts.

During the second half of the decade, Parsec released TrakSYS 5-7. Built on the .NET framework, these platforms introduced a wealth of new features, including digital audit trails for the pharmaceutical industry, recipe and batch management, SPC, and quality management.

The 10’s

In 2015, Parsec rolled out TrakSYS 10—an entirely browser-based platform—with completely reimagined UI/UX. By 2017, Single Instance Multi-Site (SIMS)—a first-of-its-kind architecture—was introduced, enabling manufacturers to deploy multiple sites within one TrakSYS instance via private cloud infrastructure. SIMS set the stage for global standardization, governance, and lifecycle management, and reduced the total cost of ownership.

The 20's

Launched in 2020, TrakSYS 11 introduced Low-Code/No-Code capabilities, allowing manufacturers to create customized solutions quickly and economically, significantly reducing deployment complexity and risks. Visual Workflow Management made it possible for users to manage complex manufacturing processes through intuitive drag-and-drop interfaces. 2022 marked the introduction of the machine learning-powered production scheduling system, APS.

The following year, TrakSYS 12, with its cloud-native architecture, containerization, and expanded cloud capabilities, was made available to the marketplace. Host to AI-rich features and debuting in 2025, TrakSYS 13 will introduce a powerful new TrakSYS Cloud Command Center, enhancing the connectivity of disparate systems, enabling manufacturers to manage operations from a centralized cockpit, and facilitating enterprise-wide administration of TrakSYS across multiple sites.

The Past

Parsec Founder and CEO Eddy Azad tells the story of our company’s origins and how, from the very beginning, TrakSYS was purpose-built to tackle the manufacturing industry’s most pressing challenges.

The Present

Now in use at thousands of factories worldwide, Eddy Azad walks us through how TrakSYS has evolved and adapted to today’s fast-paced, increasingly connected manufacturing landscape.

We were looking for a tool that would help us make better decisions that in turn would improve performance. In addition to having to fit with our company culture, another thing we wanted in our tracking system was flexibility. We wanted to be able to take the program out of the box and configure it to fit our needs. With some of the other options we looked at, the supplier took the position, ‘that is the way it works and the only way it works’. That was not the case with TrakSYS. Our operators had a lot of input into developing what the final solution looked like. Actually, we are still moving forward today, getting a little deeper and making our operations even more efficient. You could describe it as a living program

The tech support from Parsec is world class! Robert’s response was complete with screen shots and detailed instructions. Best of all, his one email response fixed all three problems. Nice job!

Once TrakSYS was deployed, we were able to quickly and effectively evaluate the root causes of poor performance. The initial focus of the project was on improving productivity for lines responsible for hormonal products. Within the first 12 months after deploying TrakSYS, we had already improved average OEE by 100 percent.

TrakSYS gives our operators a lot of insight into the process parameters, which helps them to make a qualitatively good product.

Within three months of deploying TrakSYS, we were able to identify root causes of the production problems, prioritize them by their impact, and focus on measurably improving production capacity.

Ease-of-customization with TrakSYS was a critical selection criteria for us as our manufacturing operations encompass very different activities within wafer processing, sensor production, and tablet compression. However, the ultimate deciding factor was Parsec’s professionalism and integrity. They integrated with us as an extension of our own team through design, development, training, documentation, and validation until we successfully cut over from paper-based processes to TrakSYS

Having visual information about the performance of our equipment is an essential part of our WCM initiative at the Royal Mail. We had a paperbased system for capturing performance losses. This was time consuming and the accuracy of the information often questioned. The TrakSYS solution deployed by Cimlogic has given us the real-time data we needed with trusted accuracy. We did not stop there — the system has been further developed to assist us on our WCM journey. The application is really simple to use and the operators have really taken to it.
