As Simple As Possible

With our industry-leading MES, TrakSYS, Parsec is on a mission to make the management of manufacturing operations as simple as possible.

The Keys to Optimization

At Parsec, we understand that complexity is inherent to manufacturing. We also understand the importance of providing our customers with solutions that don’t add to that complexity. Visibility, knowledge, and control—everything you need (and nothing you don’t) to take your operations from where they are to where you want them to be.

Visibility

From receipt of raw materials through production to finished goods warehousing and distribution—whether your operation is single or multi-site, TrakSYS gives you the enterprise-wide visibility you need to succeed.

Knowledge

Access contextualized insights into things like equipment, teams, workflows, and supply chain partners to drive smarter, data-informed decisions and fuel operational excellence.

Control

Experience A purpose-built platform that delivers the data and visibility you need to identify efficiency opportunities—and empowers you to take action.

TrakSYS: Purpose-Built from the Start

The 90’s

In 1993, the idea for TrakSYS—a solution designed to capture data from factory floor systems, sensors, controllers, drives, and more and transform it into actionable KPIs—was born. By 1994, the inaugural deployment took place at a global food manufacturer, resulting in a resounding success. Four years later, Parsec pioneered a browser-based interface—an industry first—eliminating the need for thick-client installations.

The 00’s

Over the next five years, two new, comprehensive versions of TrakSYS were released, incorporating shift management, task management, messaging and notifications, and a time-series historian for deeper analytics. TrakSYS expanded beyond the U.S., establishing a presence in Western Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. Solution delivery evolved from site-by-site deployment to enterprise-wide, global, multi-site contracts.

During the second half of the decade, Parsec released TrakSYS 5-7. Built on the .NET framework, these platforms introduced a wealth of new features, including digital audit trails for the pharmaceutical industry, recipe and batch management, SPC, and quality management.

The 10’s

In 2015, Parsec rolled out TrakSYS 10—an entirely browser-based platform—with completely reimagined UI/UX. By 2017, Single Instance Multi-Site (SIMS)—a first-of-its-kind architecture—was introduced, enabling manufacturers to deploy multiple sites within one TrakSYS instance via private cloud infrastructure. SIMS set the stage for global standardization, governance, and lifecycle management, and reduced the total cost of ownership.

The 20's

Launched in 2020, TrakSYS 11 introduced Low-Code/No-Code capabilities, allowing manufacturers to create customized solutions quickly and economically, significantly reducing deployment complexity and risks. Visual Workflow Management made it possible for users to manage complex manufacturing processes through intuitive drag-and-drop interfaces. 2022 marked the introduction of the machine learning-powered production scheduling system, APS.

The following year, TrakSYS 12, with its cloud-native architecture, containerization, and expanded cloud capabilities, was made available to the marketplace. Host to AI-rich features and debuting in 2025, TrakSYS 13 will introduce a powerful new TrakSYS Cloud Command Center, enhancing the connectivity of disparate systems, enabling manufacturers to manage operations from a centralized cockpit, and facilitating enterprise-wide administration of TrakSYS across multiple sites.
