Popping Bottles at Global Scale
A TrakSYS-powered production management success story at Corticeira Amorim, featuring Parsec Partner Kaizen Tech
Founded in 1870, Corticeira Amorim is the world’s largest cork processor, serving customers across more than 100 countries with a diverse portfolio of cork-based products. With dozens of facilities operating across multiple continents, the company’s manufacturing environment is both complex and highly distributed.
As operations expanded, Amorim faced challenges with limited shop-floor visibility, paper-based records, and inconsistent methods for capturing production and inventory data. These constraints made it difficult to understand actual inventory levels, perform root-cause analysis, and maintain consistent production practices across sites.
To support global standardization while preserving site-level flexibility, Amorim partnered with Parsec-certified system integrator Kaizen Tech. Together, they pursued a manufacturing execution strategy centered on real-time visibility, digital records, and a single-instance, multi-site approach using TrakSYS.
In this case study, we explore how Kaizen Tech worked with Corticeira Amorim to:
- Establish real-time visibility into production and inventory across facilities
- Replace paper-based processes with digital systems of record
- Improve traceability across products, batches, and sites
- Standardize production practices while supporting local variation
- Enable fact-based decision-making with reliable operational data
